To My Beautiful Son

I asked the man who walked down the street,
I asked the girl on her bike...did she see?
I asked the couple with the baby in their arms,
I even asked the man jogging alone in the park.
No answer did I get, no reply at all.
It seems my question had baffled them all.
Where was the one who was just here moments ago?
He’s vanished, he’s gone, he’s left us alone!
Someone must have seen him, someone saw his face.
You must have seen him as he left this place!
Why won’t they tell me I thought,
helpless and panicked as answersI sought.
I know he was here,I saw him as he stood in this very spot!
Then I heard it, this voice it came from behind,
though scared I turned , his voice was kind.
I know where he is, this person you saw,
his name, his face, his smile I know well.
I watched as you searched, the worried look upon your face.
The ones you have asked aren’t familiar with this place.
I know cause I’ve knocked on their door everyday,
no answer do I get, so I turn and walk away.
The one you look for is a special one indeed!
I know him well because he came to me.
I knocked on his door, and he let me in,
we walked,we talked his heart was pure,I knew it was him.
He said he loved me, he knew who I was,
not a doubt in his mind...
Father, it’s Jesse, it’s me.. your son!
I have a special place for you I told him,
a message to reveal.
But to do this Jesse I will have to set your soul free,
and the rest I will leave.
It will hurt those you love, they will cry, they will grieve.
He turned to me and asked... can they join me one day?
The ones that I love , the ones I will have to leave?
Will you let me hold them again? Will this you promise me?
I said Jesse, my door is always open so all can come in,
the one’s that you love son-you will hold once again!
He agreed to this task, this special one, so young.
Once coal, now a diamond, Jesse you will shine on everyone!
I knew just how special, as he revealed himself to me.
Use me father and with you I will be.
Use me father so my friends will see.
I went and prepared him for what was to be.
I cried for those he loved, how special they all must be.
To be loved by Jesse is the finest gift anyone could receive.
I knew this the moment Jesse called out my name.
Every life that he touches will never be the same.
Jesse, here I will be and here I will wait.
Go gather my sheep and bring them to me
so they to shall know peace.

Jesse, I feel so special God chose me to be your Mommy.
                        I love you.
